Anecdotal
According to Ms. Rachel and my observations, in September Anna was a student who wasn't able to use her right hand while doing activities that had required her to use both hands at most times. Anna was a very shy person, she wouldn't be able to speak out loud she always had her voice low and small. She wouldn't ask for help when she needed help at all. I have observed her always looking down or looking around during class time. When Ms. Rachel does read aloud Anna does project her voice to be loud enough because she would be reading to one of classmates she was paired up with. There were times where Anna would be confused on some things she has to do and she wouldn't do anything but just sit in her seat and look around. I noticed she likes to play pretend a lot, during play time she would play with any of the materials and she should still be able to pretend play but she would never ask people to play with her, I had seen her play pretend with someone but they put themselves in and sometimes she would accept them other times she would ignore the person.
Now that we are in December, Anna is more open with her classmates and her friends, she likes asking for help now when she needs it. During her read aloud she projects voice more louder as if she was a teacher herself. She is now able to look at people in the eyes when she speaks to others, she is using her right hand better than she did in the beginning because her right hand is her dominant hand. She now is comfortable to tell the teacher mostly about anything, but at times she still shies away and lowers her voice when she's speaking to her friends or classmates. Anna had no trouble with speaking, or saying words, sentences she was able to always say them clearly, but before he right hand she wasn’t very in control of it. Now that we are almost done with this semester, Anna is able to write clearly, she can also draw pictures with no problem with her right hand because she holds the writing material tightly in her hand and I've her say to the teacher "My dad helped me with my hand". She also now likes to write and draw along with playing pretend.
In the future, I believe Anna would be pursuing writing, art or acting. From my observations this semester, I can actually say she has improved a lot with what she was having trouble in, her language and her knowledge on what she learned from the classroom or from what her parents teach her. Even though her right hand is a little hard for Anna to use sometimes, in the future I can see her use it well with no problem and continue to do what she likes such as: art, writing and acting (Playing pretend).
