This week you will discuss the results of technology in your particular field of study/future career. A good place to start is the Occupational Outlook Handbook - - http://www.bls.gov/ooh/ o learn more about the basics of your chosen profession. Consider what kinds of technologies are used in the career field you plan to enter. How has technology affected, shaped, limited, strengthened, corrupted, challenged, (etc) your particular field.
Notice that the term technology does not limit you to smart phones, the Internet, or other basic electronics that have invaded our everyday lives. Don't simply think of a basic technology used in the profession or one you can hold in your hand - think of a technology that has truly REVOLUTIONIZED an aspect of the field, thus you may be reading back years, decades, even centuries to find your topic. You may even find a technology that has negatively affected the field, such as the example at the bottom of this page about computer aided scouting. Computers, TVs, cell phones, the Internet, or other general types of technologies are not acceptable. You could discuss a particular program on a phone or computer, or a specific part on a television. Get detailed into the field and how the technologies have revolutionized the profession. Be descriptive about the technology and it's effect in your field as you classmates may not be as knowledgeable about this field.
