One of the theories that will provide greater insight into the influence of art on the development of young children will be the theory of reinforcement. This is a theory makes one believe that behavior is a function of its consequences. This sees that a pleasant consequence follow the behavior by a positive reward which might include verbal reinforcement such as congratulation remarks. This will see the learner get motivated in learning and will ensure a smooth learning process. A developmental theory that would be useful to my work will be an action learning where it links the world of action with that of learning (Barkan, 1962). This will be effective because it will help because it is a theory that is argued that action learning leads to solutions that do not have right answers.
The components needed in an art education include drawing where one expresses what is in his/her mind in a picture by putting it down in a paper. Painting is another component where one puts color to what he/she has drawn or a given uncolored picture. This gives the picture more live. This can be included in classroom by taking children to a trip and letting them draw what they see or even letting them paint pictures (Duncum, 2002)
This schools that have a strong creative artistic will gain in expanding the mind of the children with more creativity. Knowledge will increase and development of skills to the children will grow (Eisner, 2001).
