The Renaissance fundamentally changed Europe in many ways. What do you believe the most important contribution of the Renaissance to Western society was?

Respond to peer post:

I think that the Renaissance has so much importance to our world today, the liberal arts are one of the most important things that are still studied today, but I think that trade was the most important contribution. Through the art, writings, and readings we can see how the Renaissance changed the world, buildings are still around for us to see, the art still has the maintains the colors originally used, but because of trade Amerigo Vespucci was able to discover the North American continent. The trade at the time brought them peace and wealth, it continues to supply the same for some people today. We are able to buy food found in other countries because of trade and have fabrics and other merchandise in our homes from other countries because of trade. Though it did not begin in the Renaissance era, it seems as if we first see it happening out of wanting rather than necessity during the Renaissance time and therefore, the trade game was switched up a bit to more of a business.
