Please Respond to This Discussion as well (Part 2):

Polaris before started engaging on the Victory Motorcycles, it invest in D.R to ensure it was a project that could help the company to be more diversified. Team members involved in this project have the expertise in what customers are looking for and want in a motorcycle. They started road testing the competitions’ motorcycle to be able to evaluate, compare and raked them.

One the company knew its target, industry and manufactory capacity and technology, they staff knew what they needed to add in the Victory motorcycle in order to excel (handling and power)

Polaris focus on a vertical strategy that was seeking to growth by taking over a new market and product like it was Victory. Polaris Industries was focus on the design and manufacture of snowmobiles, recreational and utility cars, watercraft as well as accessory items.

Polaris main target for this bike were baby boomers and members of their loyal club (Preferred Registered Owners). I would recommend to study the expansion of their targets. As per right now Harley-Davidson had been unable to meet their demand, this would be a great opportunity for Polaris to attract new customers.

Make recommendations for improving this strategy as well as describing any challenges you foresee in executing those recommendations.
