Two students, Mark and Jim, took a standardized test in the fall and again in the spring. The test scores are normally distributed with a mean of 500 and a standard deviation of 100. Mark’s scores went from the 60th percentile to the 65th percentile. Jim’s scores went from the 90th percentile to the 95th percentile.

1. Compare these percentile changes.  How do their performances compare?

2. Whose score improved the most or did they both improve equally?
