post a short (5-7 sentence) response to another person's recommendations from a different background. For example, what are the key differences between your approach and the other person's approach -- for example, a different assumption about human nature? As a strong proponent of your approach, explain what advantages your approach has compared to the other approach.

Confucianism is more of optimistic approach on ruling people because it solely depends on the good side of the human nature or at least human's ability to overcome their evil side in good governing condition. Confucians believe that best way to make a good government is to fill each position by well-educated and highly conscientious because we also believe harmonious society comes from proper relationship between superior and inferior, not just establishment of the states. Thus, Confucius made his disciples study Zhou Dynasty works which he believes emphasized the human nature so in the entire history Confucians highly effected Zhou Dynasty works to become main sources for studying government. The way they seek for superior individuals or what we call junzi, the person who possesses ren kindness, generosity, benevolence and humanity, xiao high significance of the family, li conventional, treating all equally while respecting superiors and elders, shall occupy the position to rule other because they not only have personal-control but also have ability lead others. And once these people are ruling the empire, good government need people's confidence and faith on their rulers which is the most important, followed by sufficient food and military equipment. Core concept of the good government entirely depends on good human nature, because Confucius said if the rulers possess ren, xiao and li and the rest have faith on them, good society will be created then there won't even need of punishment for the unprincipled. Later, Mencius and Xunzi both believed the concept of creating a good government by good ruling people, but the difference is Mencius depended more on ren which sometimes conflict the reality, and Xunzi more on the li but still he believed that natural human selfishness can become better by good ruling and educating because they are all optimistic on human nature.
