It would make sense that people, not just women, that have higher hormone levels would be more likely to cheat on their significant other.  But that’s not the only thing that can cause a person to be unfaithful. Other reasons include but are not limited to: not receiving enough pleasure from your SO, not maintaining that emotional connection, fighting with your SO a lot, etc.  People tend to seek out another person’s attention when their SO is ignoring them or if they just got in a big argument. This has the chance of leading to people being unfaithful. I think all people have the chance to cheat and that they choose to do so of their own free will.

Hormone levels do have an effect on our brain but maybe not in the sense that the articles are mentioning.  People go to the doctor to find out if they’re feeling depressed or if they’re having mood swings because of a chemical imbalance or another reason.  I have personally done this and it ended up not being a chemical imbalance. I would also not trust the Today Show over the articles because news shows tend to not have the correct information.  This leads to spreading misinformation which can cause a lot of problems down the road. I also tend to trust articles more because of the sources and I can more easily check the information to see if it’s correct or not.
