Philosophy

According to Sigmund Freud and E.O. Wilson respectively, what is the origin of people’s religious beliefs?  (Why do both view the existence of God as a sort of illusion?) Please compare and contrast their outlooks and consider which one you find more convincing.  Please be sure to i) include a thesis that states which argument you find more convincing and briefly indicates why; ii) explain each theorist's reasoning and consider any important similarities or differences between the two arguments; and iii) explain your own position.
