Please write an essay that describes primary and secondary education in Thailand  assigned country compared to primary and secondary education typical in Saudi Arabia.  You must address the following issues for each country

PART ONE:  School and Curriculum Design

  • What ages (or grades) does primary education cover in each country?  Is it the same across the whole country, or can individual schools set their own age ranges?
  • What ages (or grades) does secondary education cover in each country?  Is it the same across the whole country, or can individual schools set their own age ranges?
  • Who determines the content of the curriculum?  (the government?  local school districts?  each teacher?)
  • Is the curriculum the same across the whole country, the same in each region or district, or can it vary from school to school and classroom to classroom?
  • Identify typical classes or subjects that would be taught in both primary and secondary schools in each country.
  • Locate and compare details about one or two typical subjects for each country.

PART TWO:  Education Statistics

Locate educational statistics for each country at the website EdStats (http://datatopics.worldbank.org/education/indicators (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.):

Combine the information you collected into one, organized essay.  You can fill in the statistics table and copy/paste that into your essay, but you must also discuss the patterns you found in those statistics in your essay.
