Leadership Style Interview for a Company’s Newsletter


Select someone in a leadership position at your organization or at a local company where you might seek employment. This individual could be a director, manager, supervisor, or the CEO of the organization. The interview of this person is required for the assignment. The newsletter template attached below is for use in creating your draft for the final newsletter format that will be used to complete the assignment.

Write a 1,000 word profile of the individual you interviewed for your company's newsletter, and include the following:

  • Identify the individual and their position within the company, and briefly describe the organization.
  • Interpret the individual's leadership style based on the Five-Factor personality model, and offer one or more examples of the management and leadership roles of this individual.
  • Explain one incident where this individual had to solve a difficult problem or situation because things did not go as planned.
  • Describe the lessons she/he learned from solving the problem or situation.

Include two personal communications from the person interviewed and a minimum of two citations from the text and/or peer reviewed sources. A citation should not exceed 40 words in length.

Format your profile in the form of a newsletter using APA and writing mechanics (the final format may vary depending upon the company's style.) Use a newsletter template to create your draft. Prepare the final newsletter from a review of the Samples of Company Newsletter attached. Check the Internet or Microsoft® Word for additional newsletter templates and formats.​ The newsletter should not be formatted as a PDF file
