Organizations can use social media to build trust in various way, one such way is by building a social media dialogue that can lead to a trusting relationship. They can also do this by communication their brand value, and also through active and direct engagement with existing and potential customers.
The external trust can be created by requesting customers to review the organization and encouraging user generated content. The internal trust can be ensured by nurturing social media interactions among employees. Social media can be used to find influencers. An important aspect of this approach is that influencers provide a powerful voice for the organization.
Organizations build trust through social media, both internally and externally, by ensuring transparency and accountability on online marketing and conversation. When companies engage online with their customers, they ensure accountability with their audience, and this builds trust. Transparency can be achieved by interacting with clients online on issues associated with the companies brand and clarifying any issues that customers may be having with their brand.
