I need a response for both of these answers

1) 2) Africa expects to gain infrastructure, energy production, and a boosted economy through jobs from Chinese businesses. Most of this expectation is realistic, as China has built train railways and dams that produce energy for the country, and Chinese private business is growing on the African continent. 4) I believe that the industrialized nations of the world should be concerned with China’s investment activities in Africa. Like the video says, China is buying allies through this process, and so it makes political sense to be aware of how these alliances will affect our country and others. It is a modern take on colonialism as the video points out, and so China is manipulating world politics in their trade with Africa, which matters immensely to all other industrialized countries.

2)1. China has done hundreds of infrastructure projects in Africa – and it continues to do so. Some of their projects include a $475 million light rail system in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; a $3.2 billion railway from Nairobi to Mombasa in Kenya, and a $526 million dam in Guinea. The video states that China is interested in Africa because it is a source of cheap labor. It further explained that China is running out of growth potential, and Africa’s lack of development makes fast growth easy. 4. Yes, I think their increased interest in Africa should concern the U.S. and other industrialized countries. Near the end of the video, it was said that “Africa is establishing itself as the source of labor and resources for China, and so, until the west pays attention, Africa will continue inching forward on its path to becoming China’s China.” I gathered from the video that the west seems to not be paying much attention to the growing relationship between China and Africa. Perhaps the video is insinuating that there will come a time in which it will be very difficult for other countries to trade with Africa.
