For the Module 6 Discussion Board Assignment, you will be tasked with watching Episodes 1 and 4 of Eyes on the Prize. (See the links in the Module 6 Assigned Readings & Media folder or below.) Episode 1 highlights the lynching of Emmett Till and the Montgomery Bus boycott. Episode 4 highlights the Albany Campaign, the Birmingham Confirmation, and the March on Washington. Before watching Episode 1, briefly detail what you learned about Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott growing up. Then, after watching, detail how the film confirmed, added to, and/or contradicted your previous knowledge, and what the film taught you about the role women played in organizing the Boycott. Then, watch Episode 4 and detail how Sheriff Prichard's actions impeded the progressive of the Civil Rights movement in Albany, while Sheriff Connor's actions helped draw national attention to it.
