Computers can be used symbolically to intimidate, deceive or defraud victims. The basic law that protects our privacy is the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which man­dates that people have a right to be secure in homes and against unreasonable search and seizure. What law(s) have been enacted to protect individuals at the state or federal government? Does these protection laws vary from state to state?
