All of Europe reeled from the Great War, but the Russians had suffered more than most, enduring revolution in 1917. Many self-proclaimed revolutionary authorities were being assassinated by the socialism and communism systems. The monarch system made it easy for communism to thrive in old age Europe. The systems would detain “class citizens” in the name of revolutionary justice. The civil war and various revolutions had brought the citizens at the mercy of the governing system.

Communism involves creating equality through the government's authority; there is no freedom of the market while socialism advocates for ownership, be it public or cooperative, and is more compatible with democracy. Socialism and communism developed more in Europe and Russia than in the USA, because of a broader wealth gap between the rich and the poor, especially after the world wars. The governments in these countries implemented these measures to promote social equality among their people.

In their basic structure, socialism and communism placed greater value or rather emphasized highly on fostering a more equitable society and the elimination of class privilege. In my opinion, the major reason why the models were welcomed within Europe and Russia compared to the United States was basically due to their geographical positions and demographic-related factors. Essentially, Europe and Russia largely involved the natives never colonized, whereas the United States had apparently been invaded.
