You are an expatriate employee completing your overseas assignment and you just received your final performance appraisal. You feel it did not provide an accurate assessment of your performance and accomplishments because the superior who wrote the appraisal only visited your facility once in three years. What would you do? Explain your answer.

ANSWER THE ABOVE QUESTION AND THEN REPLY TO MY CLASSMATE RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU AGREE? (A MINIMUM OF 125 WORDS or MORE)

Years ago, I had an employer that requested us to complete an evaluation on how we thought our past year went. Plus, a goal list for the year to come. Ever since then, I have completed this for myself. It can be a bittersweet task to look back over the years and see the personal reviews one can give. To also see what you have or haven't accomplished. However, for this situation where the superior is giving an appraisal after only visiting the facility once in three years. It could assist him or her in the larger picture of showing the employees actual responsibility. I would also add the job description as a comparison to the personal evaluations and goal list accomplished. I would then ask the supervisor to review the information and reevaluate the review. I believe if things are handled in a respectful manner the superior should be open to the ideal.
