Step 1 Download start file

In this project you will be working on a paper about behavior modification. You will create an AutoCorrect entry and look up a synonym of word using the Thesaurus. You will add tab leaders to data making it easier to read. You will add a table of contents to the document and then create an index. Finally, you will review the document in Read Mode.

1. Open the start file WD2016-FixIt-5-6 document. The file will be renamed automatically to include your

name. Change the project file name if directed to do so by your instructor, and save it.

2. If the document opens in Protected View, click the Enable Editing button in the Message Bar at the

top of the document so you can modify the document.

3. Add an AutoCorrect entry to change the word behaviour to behavior when typed.

4. Use the Thesaurus to look up synonyms of a word.

a. In the fifth sentence of the first paragraph, select the word first (in their first home).

b. Using the Thesaurus, replace the word with the synonym primary.

5. Add new tabs and tab leaders through the Tabs dialog.

a. Navigate to the V. Collect and evaluate the result section.

b. Turn on formatting marks to view the tabs in the section.

c. Select all the data in the Observation Phase section (from 2/7 to 86%).

d. Using the Tabs dialog, place a left tab stop at 1". Place a center tab stop at 3.5". Place a

right tab stop at 5".

e. Apply a dotted tab leader to each of the tab stops.

f. Repeat these steps for the data in the Implementation Phase section.

g. Turn off formatting marks.

6. Navigate to the I. Identify Target Behavior section of the document and insert a table of contents above the

heading. Base the table of contents on the Automatic Table 2 format.

7. Add a footnote after the first sentence in the document that reads: To keep the identity of

the subject secret, I will use the alias Andrew.

8. Mark an entry for the index.

a. Navigate to paragraph B in the I. Identify Target Behavior section of the document.

b. Select Language Arts classroom in the first sentence of the paragraph.

c. Mark the text for use as an entry in the index.

d. Hide the formatting marks.

9. Add a new blank page to the end of the document and insert an index based on the Classic format.

Have the entries display in two columns.

10. Display the document in Read Mode to read through the document for accuracy.

11. Save and close the document.

12. Upload and save your project file.

13. Submit project for grading.
