The schedule allows the student to avoid multitasking which may cause an exaggeration on the study work. The primary reason for being organized is to give priority to the activity that deserves and prevent ignorance of some events that may not look important. The plan should entail what the student is going to do and at the specific time to avoid having too much time with few activities. Time consciousness is among the core values that a student should strive to have. Time is a factor that defines the potential of an individual and helps predict what one can do within the time frame. The student must identify the available time and plan for activities that fit within the range and cultivate to success (Rooney et al, 2015). Every student must study to be successful. Studying does not mean to stare at a book all night but to have a closer understanding of all duties that focus on books. To study thoroughly means to attend classes and carry out revision tasks such as group discussions and consulting the subject teachers. In most cases, the curriculum offers several subjects that may not require the same energy to understand. According to students, some items are secure while other is difficult and thus the student must balance all the subjects. The performance per subject must be commendable to avoid pulling back the grade. The balance among the disciplines entails allocating more time on the topics that seem technical. The students also need to have revision books that provide an excellent platform for revision and understanding of concepts some may appear difficult to understand. Students must make consultations with the teachers to get clarifications on classwork.
Active participation in class is essential because it creates a deeper understanding of the concepts taught in class. Participation in class entails asking and answering questions, especially when asked by the teacher. The tip has several advantages because in the first place the teacher gets to know you by name and create an understanding of potential. A question or an answer provides a platform for the teacher to know the students level of knowledge which determines the point and concept that requires elaboration. Other activities in the school that defines active participation are taking notes in class which some students, especially in the higher learning institutions, ignore. Studying is the basis of success in school, but it is not fun thus one need a strategy that helps achieve the goal of good academic performance (Vescio, 2016). Students must try their best to be useful to fellow students which provide a platform for success. A student who is kind, polite and always willing to offer academic assistance to their friends is likely to end up in a leadership position. A position of leadership in school creates a platform to build some of the essential virtues that contribute to success. Some of the attributes cultivated though leadership in school are confidence and excellent decision-making skills.
