Module Three Discussion Part 1

1. Locate and summarize an article related to concepts of this module’s submission box assignment(s) and POST ON THE DISCUSSION BOARD. Discuss your article in relation to the reading (in 100 words) and cite the source of your article using APA format. (This article is NOT required to be a scholarly article however you must provide the article’s citation.)

2. Respond to two other student’s article summarizations with your opinion of their articles in 50 words for each summarization. Responses such as, “I agree” or “Good idea” are not acceptable and will receive no credit. The response must add to the scholarly dialogue presenting the reasons for your opinion and supporting documentation cited.

The exchange of ideas between students regarding a colleague’s article is a key aspect of on-line learning. Since late postings do not add to dialogue between students, they will not be accepted as participation. Responses to fellow student’s articles and discussions are to be in depth.

Hello Class,

Module 3 covers the different topics of privacy such as abuse of personal information, identity theft, balancing privacy, and social control. As every human values their privacy and the protection of their sphere of life, they have some control over who knows what about them (Garson, 2020). No one does not want his or her information to just be accessible to anyone. Our textbook states how it is difficult for the government to address situations in which define the correct balance to ensure social control. In reality, how far should public authorities be able to intrude into a private identity to enforce rules in mass society? It has been said that the government does need to accumulate data on citizens to analyze mass trends to set the nation on a better path for future prosperity (Garson, 2020). Though at the same time the meaning and value of privacy remain the subject of considerable controversy (Van den Hoven , 2020).

E-Government has becoming increasingly more popular in the last few years. Due to the coronavirus pandemic e-government has been transformed into the forefront of governmental data and tasks. Digital transformation of e-government can better serve the citizens by allowing a more adaptable way to complete tasks. Even e-justice has become a talking point in one community. "Thus, it was decided to implement a section of e-justice for now, the electronic registration of cases, appeals, payments and to even have some kind of hearings with teleconferences and to change the legal framework." (Chrysostomou, 2020). E-government will ultimately become the norm at the conclusion of this pandemic and rightfully so. While not all things are enhanced by technology, most are, and we are living in a technological age where we are adapting all of our medial tasks to be completed by technology.
