EXPERIMENT 1: METRIC MEASUREMENTS In this experiment, you will learn to make measurements using the metric system.
PROCEDURE
Length of Materials 1. Use the centimeter ruler to measure the items listed in Table 1 on the Experiment 1 Data Sheet. Remember to show your
work required to convert from the different units. Take pictures of your measurements; this should be submitted to your instructor as part of your lab assignment.
Mass of Materials
2. Use the digital scale to determine the mass of the items in Table 2 on the Data Sheet. Be sure to check the unit on the scale to verify that you are measuring in grams (g), not oz. Remember to show your work required to convert from the different units. Take pictures of your measurements; this should be submitted to your instructor as part of your lab assignment.
