Abstract:

The article explores the significance of intersectionality approach to a liberal education curriculum in both general and the major at colleges and universities in the U.S. Topics include the use of intersectionality to analyze patterns of discrimination based on race, gender and other social identities, its implications for exploring the relationship between knowledge and experience, and an overview of its origins and uses. Also discussed is the transformative potential of intersectionality.
