a.Daisy’s story touched me the most in that she has the passion of becoming a surgeon because of her passion to handle people and animals. However, the problem is that her journey to the medical school would be tough because public school from the 8th grade to 10th-grade register very poor performance and very few students qualify to go to the university.  She goes to Stevenson high school where 13% of her classmates qualify to go to the next stage. She then proceeds to Roosevelt high school and the worst news is that about three of the students qualify from the high school to the university. The report is an indicator that even when Daisy is more personate with her career, chances are very limited for her to survive through to the university. Moreover, it is worrying that where do the other children go if they do not qualify. Probably, they feel their dreams are shuttered and opt to drop out of school.

b.Improving education in the community is significant because the students need to be in a position to easily realize their dreams and favorite careers. The priority when improving the education system should be the student-centered because, because from research very few students do not qualify to go to college and the university. Most probably, the main problem might be the education system. It is crucial to identify system used to teach the students that registers a low outcome. The government is responsible for the improvement of education for students in public schools. It is because it is in control of almost everything in the education docket. It should work on some policies that may be might be hindering most students from performing, or even affect the transition from on stage to another.

a. Charter schools are good for bettering the education system if they could be as the original intention where they were to assist the public schools to solve problems that they could not solve before. However, if that’s not the case, that we should not head the direction of charter schools because the public schools would turn out to be the dumping sites for the students rejected in the charter schools. The problem that public schools face is that most children come from poor families and if charter schools take over, the situations would be worse for the children and thus the number of dropouts would increase highly. Additionally, charter schools affect the legislation policies of the federal government concerning education and therefore we should find better solutions because investors are only after profits and not making the public schools better.

a. Troy high school and Santa high school have the same faculty-student ratio, the amount of money spent per student and even the level of training of teachers in both of the schools is the same. However, Isabelle’s experience at Troy high school seem different than Sophia at Santa Anna because of the most students at Troy came from better rich families, therefore, there was a big social class difference while the for Santa they were most of the same class.

b. The power of one’s race is overlooked in children’s education such that despite Reagan’s attempt to enhance integration by making the white children to study in the schools for the blacks and the blacks to study in the schools for the whites. The community still sees that as wrong and that Reagan should have left things to be the way they were initially. Therefore, most people still see that one’s race might be more powerful than the other and there should be a separation.

5. For all children to receive quality education, the federal government should impose the same academic policies over all the schools within the states so that there; is no segregation (Bennett,et al.,.2016). Also, it is important to organize activities and competitions that bring the schools together to enhance interactions so that the students as well teachers can enhance relations that would reduce segregation of certain schools according to race.
