We finally made it!  Now it is time to share with the class what you have found about your particular topic.  Post a brief synopsis of your topic explaining to those who visit your thread what your topic is about.  Next, post your completed and published presentation here.  Lastly, take the time to view what your classmates have done as well and leave constructive feedback based on your review.  

Remember, your presentation should use a narrative component such as ScreenCast (http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/).  In essence, your presentations should "play" for us.


Instructions for all Forums:

Sociology lives when we engage it – we read about it, we discuss it, we debate it, we frame our research questions with it, we put it to the test of empiricism, and every once in a while we build it ourselves.  Therefore, the success of this course depends on all of us thoroughly engaging it.  One of the most important parts of the course will be the discussions and debates we participate in, in our Forum.  These discussions need to be informed by thorough reading of the assigned texts. 

Each week, learners will post one initial post per week.  This post must demonstrate comprehension of the course materials, the ability to apply that knowledge in the real world, active presence.  Learners will engage with the instructor and peers through rich responses to their posts.  To motivate engaged discussion, posts are expected to be on time with regular interaction throughout the week.  All posts should demonstrate college level writing skills. To promote vibrant discussion as we would in a face to face classroom, formatted citations and references are not required.  Quotes should not be used at all, or used sparingly.  If you quote a source quotation marks should be used and an APA formatted citation and reference provided.

Well when we started this course I was looking to do a study on PTSD and how it affected people's marriage by seeing how it affected divorce rates and suicides. I was unable to use PTSD directly so I went with military service since those men and women have a higher concentration of PTSD victims than others. What I found was divorce rates did go up because of military service, suicide rates did not show much of an increase in completed attempts.

I am so glad this is the last week of class.  I found this class extremely difficult to follow and had to email the teacher multiple times a week.  I hope every one did great and learned something.  

Here is my presentation on ABANY and GENDER1.  All I can say is that I did my best and hopefully it was good enough.
