Introduction: 

Social Media as a Managerial Communications Tool
As Guffey and Lowy (2015) note, an organization’s interest in social networking sites “is not surprising if we consider that 73% of Millennials, also called Generation Y, regularly socialize and chat online. An average of 55% of all consumers between 14 and 75 regularly visit social online communities. Clearly, these are important data that organizations and their managers cannot ignore.
Review the resources listed in the Books and Resources area below to prepare for this week’s assignment(s).
Assignment:Activity Description 
For this assignment, prepare a paper to evaluate the following questions below:
1.How have social media changed the way we exchange information about organizations and their products and services?
2.How can services such as Facebook be used to communicate business proposals, plans, and reports?
3.What are the advantages and drawbacks of using Twitter for business?
Support your paper with a minimum of three (3) external resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
Length: 5-7 pages not including title and reference pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.
