An orthopedic surgeon sees about 60 new patients per month (the rest of his patients are seen for follow-up).  He knows that on average, over the past year, about 30% of these patients will require surgical intervention.

a) What is the probability that he will see 50 patients or more out of 60 who will require surgical intervention?

b) What is the probability that he will see 15 or fewer patients who will require surgical intervention?

c) What is the probability that he will see between 40 and 50 new patients who will require surgical intervention?
