How are the Imagists' poems or the Cubists' paintings a break in form from naturalism and representation?

How did the Freudian revolution help change views about art and architecture or change industry?

Identify one notable work of 20th-century art. How does it represent the cultural changes that took place during its production?

What particular work of art is the "poster child" of the pop-art movement, class? (I'll give you a hint--you may find it in your pantry...) Why do suppose this particular work of art became so popular?

In your opinion, which artist described in the video had the greatest impact on 20th century architecture? Why?

Which artist described in the video did you find most interesting? Why? What sort of influence do you think the artist you chose exerted on the development of artistic trends in the 20th century?

Freudian Literature One of the strangest books I've ever read was Kafka's The Metamorphosis...which I read in German (even stranger). Talk about insecurity--in it, the protagonist awakes (in a dream?) to find himself transformed into a large insect.

How might such a tale reflect Freudian thought? Or is there another, perhaps Joyce or Proust, whose works reflect Freud's "new psychology?"
