Describe how to identify and shape an essay topic

Through narrative writing, an author is recounting an event or situation or uncovering a moment, and examining it from his or her present perspective. In an academic narrative essay, such contents must be presented through specific formal components.

Please complete all the parts of this assignment.

  • Part 1: Generate a list of narrative essay components (refer back to pages 46-59 in your textbook). Write a one to two sentence description of each component.
  • Part 2: Explain what strategies you will use to select a topic for an essay (see page 40 in your textbook) and then refine that topic. You should write one to two paragraphs for this part.

Assignment should be one to two pages in length.

For citation guidelines, please refer to the table in the APA Style section of the syllabus.

Save your document with a file name that includes your name, course code, section number, and title.
