Objective 601.4.4-10: Create a multimedia presentation incorporating text, audio, video,

and graphics using non-computer technology.


Your task is to create a brief multimedia lesson that incorporates a variety of non-computerbased

technology materials.

First, locate the topic provided for your program (listed below). Then design a lesson that

incorporates a variety of multimedia instructional/learning materials (audio, video, pictures,

text, and artifacts). Next, write a learning objective, select the grade-level, and identify

specific materials that would help students meet the learning objective for your lesson.

For example, if you are an elementary education major, you might have the fifth-grade

learning objective "Given a cultural topic, students will explain five characteristics of Lakota

Sioux culture." A specific material you might incorporate is Iktomi and the Ducks and Other

Sioux Stories by Zitkala-Sa.

You will not develop a lesson plan for this task. You will write a script that provides a

context and explanation for using each of the selected materials in the lesson. A script

details what you will say and do during the lesson and what students will be doing during

the lesson.
