Economic feasibility study of the mobile applications considers the chances of its development cost, application type and its cost, design, and its costs and finally the benefits of the applications. The economic base of the mobile application give the management a good background on the exact expectation of the app  and the logistics the management has to make on the same, as (Pogue, 2009) explains.

         The cost of the mobile application varies each year because of the changes in the technology at the moment. The cost of the mobile applications depends on the  size of the application, the number of jobs that the application will perform and the kind of the gadget. Development cost which is more of how the use that grow with time discusses the applications dependence on the kind of app one wants. Development cost describes how the type of app and how that app will be used in a mobile device for various reasons of development.

According to research done by the  (Clutch, 2012), the average development cost of a mobile application is $37,913 and $171,450 but there were chances that the prices were going to climb to $500,000 at the end of 2015.The reason for this increase is because of the improvement in technology. Further, (Clutch, 2012) shows that to develop initially a mobile app requires that one needs around $5,0000.That, therefore, shows that the management has to understand well about the exact mobile app to develop and the kind of the device to install on.

 Developing a mobile application requires that knowing the type of the application to develop. To develop an application that requires that when it is opened, it leads to a series of different icons and one that has all the contents in one framework is different. The former is cheaper because the table based kind of application is cheaper due to it requires little synchronizes. Database type of application requires that the mobile device has to configure all icons into one framework and allows its view. Some functions such as content, images, sounds and any other data are put into one framework. The process is a bit complicated. Apart from development cost, design cost is also an essential part of the feasibility study. The design cost of a mobile application depends largely on the progress already made in the development stage.  According to (Mueller, 2011), calculation of the design cost is calculated separately depending on App graphic design, app icon design and the UI design of the app. The designer too of the mobile app determines the design cost since the designer has to a lot on what kind of app to be developed. The complexity of the design is also considered while determining the cost of a mobile app. It’s also important to understand that the cost will depend on the time taken to develop the mobile app, (Yetisen, 2014).For example, in USA, one will be billed $50 to $ 150.The reason for the difference in prices is because, one has to design screens, icons and buttons apps separately. Lastly, the models vary with the country; i.e.in UK it costs $40-$480 and $20 per hour in India.

Other costs that determine the mobile app is the platform used to develop the app. According to (Clutch, 2012) the Apple platform is much more expensive compared to an android or Windows platform. Servers and hosting types also determine the extent to which the cost of developing an app (Selle, 2014).

Many people can download from the Apps store and therefore you earn more revenues from advertisements. It also reaches the majority of internet users while free apps reach the majority of users who tend to be price-sensitive and almost never buys apps, there is a subset of users who prefer to avoid advertising and seek paid (sometimes called “pro”) versions of their favorite apps. Here application accesses aims to serve different approaches. Here users tend to prevent advertisement but look for payment by use of versions of their choice. In other hand, paid Apps stands to benefit users in the following ways: through integration and the ability to introduce ways in which you are able to give out incentive program through the mobile payment application system with an installed storage device. For instance, a business may use these applications for the sake of gaining the confidence of the customers by introducing rewards or royalties. This makes them closer to the customer.

Paid mobile apps also are more affordable compared to credit card companies which allow the user to be able to save additional cost that would have been incurred. Clients are accessible to speedy services unlike the credit cards where one has to queue in order to be served. However, it saves time. This in turn allows for the improved profit as one is able serve more people at a given period of time. By using business mobile apps, one is able is to monitor the customer trend/ behavior and be able to tell what the customer demand for the product and which can be done to make it better to suit the demands of the customer. A steady increment on Facebook application revenue has increased by about 20 percent in a span of a year. It has been considered the biggest social network with over 1.25 billion subscribers on mobile devices, giving an overall revenue increment of 42 percent. There has been an experience of increment of subscribers. YouTube as another social network has got more than 1 billion subscriber worldwide, with about 60 per cent of creator’s views are from other countries. This application gains its revenues from views. About US dollar 350 was realized as revenue in a period of three month in the year 2013(according to YouTube’s president of sales, Lucas Watson).

For example, YouTube social app can engage consultative talk with Facebook, sharing platforms in a common profit agenda. The competitor in the market are those companies with same product though ideas. For example youtube and Facebook social network apps are competitors.
