Draft a response to each of the bulleted questions below. Each question must have its own response and have a minimum of 75 words.

1.     Describe the Ward Cove v. Atonio law, focusing on the protections for the employee, as well as how the employer can reduce the risk of discrimination. 

2.     Most behaviors are likely both ethical and legal. Provide examples of behaviors that would fall under one of the following lists:

3.     Is affirmative action still relevant? Do we need to encourage companies to accept it, or not?

4.     How would you explain race discrimination in hiring practices to a new HR employee using one of the topics below? Provide an example to help illustrate these hiring practices. What points would you emphasize?

5.     How has legislation involving sex discrimination evolved? Cite specific examples of what is addressed under federal and/or state laws.

6.       What is a significant misconception you believe most people have about the law that relates to sexual harassment? What would be the best course of action for a manager to take in the workplace to prevent that misconception from causing a problem?

7.       Does expression of spirituality have a place in the workplace, and how can an HR manager protect the company against a claim of religious discrimination? 

 

8.       In many cultures, age is celebrated and older individuals are sought out for their wisdom. In contrast, in the United States, many feel age discrimination is rampant. Do you agree or disagree? If so, why do you think age discrimination is so commonplace?
