Data-flow diagrams

profilestriker101

Data-flow diagrams can be used to model both the physical and logical systems. Data models can be analyzed to identify possible inconsistencies that exist between two sets of diagrams or within a single DFD. Redundant data flows, procedural redundancies, and inefficiencies can be identified by studying data-flow diagrams. We will be discussing this week under this topic the process modeling and logic modeling part of design. Although there are several methods and techniques available for process modeling, this week focuses on data-flow diagrams (DFDs). Data flow diagrams can be hard to develop and understand. In simple system design, data flow diagrams and process models may not be necessary. What do you think about not using data flow diagrams in some cases?
