Choose something you enjoy, like music, movies, TV, books, a sport, etc. Pretend you are a reporter (film critic, food critic, sports writer, etc.) Write a paragraph explaining why one thing is better or more important than the other thing. For example, if your love movies, write a paragraph explaining why one movie is a better than another movie. Or, explain why one character plays a better villain than another character. Be careful not to let your enthusiasm get the best of you. Don’t just compare/contrast the two things. Explain WHY one is better or more important than the other. Also, don’t assume your audience knows about your subject. Don’t assume your audience knows the two people you are comparing/contrasting are rap artists. The paragraph should consist of a well-developed paragraph, which means: you need a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence (clincher). The paragraph should be unified and coherent with specific supporting details or examples for support. It should provide sentence variety (simple, compound, and complex sentences). The sentences should be clear, concise, and arranged in a logical order. Transitional words and phrases should be used to provide coherence. Choose one point of view: first, second, or third person. I just need a draft right now because after being reviewed by the school tutor then it will have to be revised into a final paragraph according to their review.
