leanetferrer81Tammy, thanks for sharing! That is a wonderful, hands on example of a nursing leader who involves humility in her daily "tool set." It's interesting that often, we see leaders in the media portrayed as being those who act like they have it all figured out, but typically that repells those he or she is trying to lead. I try to involve this when I precept nurses. I find that there are always new things or different backgrounds we each come from, and rather than wasting emotional energy becoming flustered or embarrassed for not knowing everything, it actually seems to set the mood at ease when we can both acknowledge each other's unique strengths and knowledge bases. Thanks for sharing.
