I completely agree. Combining the families do not make them
blend together and roles and rules must be redefined. This can be very difficult for both the parents
and the children. Often the roles are different
in the new family and the dynamics are different than what they previously
experienced. Different families have
different traditions and ways of daily interacting that can contribute to the successful
blending. It is not surprising that statistics
show that 66% of these new blended families fail.
