1. Project Topic – Identifying and Teaching Students With Learning Behaviors in Saudi Arabian Schools.

Larger Area/Theme – Factors in identifying and teaching students with learning disabilities in Saudi Arabian schools will be discussed; as well as compared to identifying and teaching factors that are used American public schools. Issues that instructors and students may face in these situations will also be identified; current services and accommodations will also be reviewed, along with future implications.

2. At the time I am not of aware of any classmates with a similar theme.

3. I do have most of the resources I will feel will be necessary to complete the project. I plan to use journal articles that contain pertinent research, and if possible I would like to use interviews and actual classroom visits. In addition I will be using tow scholarly sources:

4. Defining Research

a. What resources and services are currently available for students with learning disabilities in

Saudi Arabia? What about for teachers?

b. In what ways if any, could identifying, and teaching students with learning disabilities in Saudi Arabia schools be improved?

5. Continuing research on this project involves becoming familiar with Special Education in Saudi Arabia currently. Much of the information available regarding Special Education in Saudi Arabia is limited to scholarly reports, that nevertheless give of an overview of the current situation and in some cases suggestions for improvement. I believe that through reviewing scholarly research, I can further assess and review the current situation, while tying it in to the theme of my report.

Written Project paper: The written paper should be 4-5 pages (max. of 8) with an additional page for References. References and citations must be in APA style. Be sure you have located scholarly references that are cited in support of meaningful information that you include in your paper. Minimum of 4 scholarly references; at least two should be from professional journals.

Recommended: Use subtitles in your report.
