  • For this assignment, you will create a business survey. Review the information in your text about surveys.

You need to submit three items: a plan or overview, a cover letter to go with the survey, and a survey consisting of 6 to 8 items. Guidance for the cover letter and the survey is provided in the document shown lower on this page.

The plan is a brief summary (two paragraphs) of the following information:

    1. Why is the survey needed? For example:

    • The business at my restaurant is declining on Tuesdays, and I need to know why and what would get the business back.
    • I am starting a web design business for chiropractors, and I need to know what they need and like.
    • My dry-cleaning company is considering offering a new pick-up and delivery service, and they need to know if their customers would use it and how much they would pay.
    • I want dog-owners to use my new mobile dog grooming service. I need to know how much to charge to get them to use it.

    2. Who is the target of the survey? For example:

    • Chiropractors in south Orange County or their office managers.
    • Current and former patrons of my restaurant.
    • Current and former customers of my dry cleaning business.
    • Dog-owners in south Orange County.
