  1. An important consideration in how learning takes place is the type of knowledge to be learned. Compare declarative and procedural knowledge, providing examples of each. Include in your explanation the role conditional knowledge played in your own experiences.

  2. Teaching children to use metacognitive strategies can help them control their own learning and behavior. In your own words, describe what metacognition means. Then, identify the three basic metacognitive skills. For each, provide a specific example that demonstrates how the skills can be used to enhance learning.

  3. There is no one constructivist theory of learning, but most constructivist theories agree on two central ideas:

Central Idea 1: Learners are active in constructing their own knowledge.

Central Idea 2: Social interactions are important in this knowledge construction proces (Bruning, Schraw, & Norby, 2011).(Woolfolk, 2013, p. 359).

This presents the foundational ideas underlying most constructivist views of learning. However, there are a variety of approaches to constructivism, each with its own challenges and benefits. Briefly describe the general constructivist approach to learning, and then share your thoughts about why constructivism might be effective or ineffective, including its particular benefits and challenges
