INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully read the PDF “The Narrative Essay Requirements and Grading Rubric.”

  2. Review textbooks readings as needed for this assignment.

  3. Think about our narrative essay examples "When the Pieces Don't Fit" and "I Tweet

Therefore I Am." Now you will write a rough draft of your own original narrative essay that focuses on a memory, a series of memories, or an important event in your life. You will eventually submit this rough draft with your final draft. Be sure to look at the grading rubric (2.1a) to double check that you have included all of those elements in your original paper.

  4. In writing your final draft, review the grading rubric to ensure it addresses each component.

  5. Submit the rough draft and final copy of this essay to the appropriate dropbox by the end of the unit.
