Anne Farrow, journalist and author of The Logbooks: Connecticut’s Slave Ships and Human Memory will discuss her discovery of a Connecticut ships logbooks that preserve the history of Connecticut’s involvement in the slave trade. Her research and retracing of the journeys brings a renewed understanding of what we as a nation have chosen to forget about slavery, “a labor system that held millions bondage.” The author will be available to sign copies of her book after the lecture.
