The paper lacks on the merits of a technical document on three fronts:

While the introduction to the technical document is adequate enough to highlight the major issue that is, the constant decline in bees population in the US, it does not highlight the scope of the issue that is, whether it just concentrates on the cause of the problem or attempts to highlight it in the larger perspective of how does the problem affects mankind on a global or local scale.

Also, while it is a clear conclusion drawn at the end that the US will face the ‘same’ consequences a taken by other countries, it is not mentioned anywhere in the document as to what exactly were the events that happened in other countries in terms of declining bee populations and the effects of that on various kinds of crops and how will it affect the US

While citing a research paper or article in a media publication, it is a standard that the year must also be mentioned after the name of the author which is not mentioned at all the places where a source has been cited.

·        

A technical document should not include a poetic or literary quote from an author’s work as has been done by the author in quoting Emily Dickinson which does not directly dwell upon the issue at hand by providing any concrete information to the reader

·        

Neither the pie charts nor the text of the document cite the time period or date (month, year etc.) as to when the study/studies were conducted which resulted in the drawing of the pie charts and the figures cited in the technical article. Without exact timelines mentioned for visual data, the relevance and timelines of the information is not clear to the reader

  In essence, while the article introduces the issue in a precise and to the point manner, it does not mention important information in the middle and lacks making clear and precise recommendations or conclusions to the issue.
